All
prices shown are in pounds sterling and includes
electricity, bed linen, towels, use of the telephone
[for all landline national and local calls -
mobiles and premium rate numbers are chargable],
use of the wireless internet. The apartments
are non-smoking and unfortunately we cannot
accept pets. Change-over day is Friday
and whilst prices shown are for a weekly let,
shorter stays are available. For details of
deposits, keys etc please see below.
Short
breaks
Short
break holidays can normally be arranged outside
of the main holiday periods at the following
percentages of the weekly rate ; 3 nights
70% [Friday to Monday] 4 nights 80% [Monday
to Friday] If you wish for a short
holiday break that does not conform to these
set days, please do ring as we can be flexible
in most cases.
Deposits
We
require a non-refundable deposit upon booking
of 25% of the total rent. The balance is due
6 weeks [42 days] prior to the commencement
of the holiday. If the booking is made within
6 weeks of your arrival then the full rent is
payable upon booking. Payment can be made by
cheque which must be made payable to Mrs T.Rist
and sent to 11, Orchard Lane, Great Glen, Leics.
LE8 9GJ. We also accept paypal online [although
this does attract a small surcharge] or by debit
card/maestro over the telphone. We also require
a security deposit of £150 to be paid
upon booking.
Cancellation
In
the event of cancellation more than 6 weeks
prior to the holiday start date there will be
no refund of the deposit made, but the balance
will not be payable. In the event of cancellation
within 6 weeks there will be no refund of the
deposit, and no refund of the balance unless
the apartment can be re-let. The security deposit
will be re-paid.
Occupation/keys/car
parking permits
The
keys for your chosen apartment will be sent
to you by recorded delivery prior to your holiday.We
include a return pre-paid envelope for you to
send them back to us. Please do this within
a week of your return. We will also send you
a car parking permit which details exactly where
in the car park you will need to park. A gate
code will also be supplied for the gated car
park at water's edge.
Friday
is change-over day and the apartment
is available from 3pm on the
day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am
on the day of departure. The apartment will
have been thoroughly cleaned prior to your arrival
and you are expected to keep the apartment plus
all the fixtures and fittings clean during your
stay, and when you depart to leave it in as
clean and tidy condition as you found it on
your arrival. We reserve the right to charge
for any breakages/ damage or use of the telephone/internet
for calling mobiles or premium rate numbers.
The security deposit will be repaid within two
weeks of departure as long as there is no damage
etc. to be found and the apartment keys have
been received back.
Additional
cleaning
If
you are staying for more than a week and require
an additional cleaning /fresh linen and towels,
we can arrange this for you. We will require
access to the apartment for approx. 3 hours
to undertake this.
Access
to the apartment
We
reserve the right to enter the apartment during
your holiday for the purpose of inspecting its
condition and carrying out all necessary repairs,
decoration or cleaning. We will, however, endeavor
to give you notice of this.

Termination of your holiday
We
reserve the right to terminate your holiday
in the event of any member of your party behaving
in such a way as to cause a nuisance to other
residents within either of the apartment blocks.
Please note that this includes excessive noise
after 11pm and before 9am. If we terminate the
holiday no refund will be made nor will we be
liable for any extra costs you may incur.
Toilets/sinks/washing/bins/external
front door/communal areas
The
toilets and the sinks in within ocean's edge
are connected to a private sewage pump and if
you put any of the following items down the
toilets or the waste disposal in the sinks,
you will cause the pump to fail;
Sanitary towels, incontinence pads, nappies,
tampons, waste food.
If the pump fails then the sewage will back
up and we will have to charge for the costs
of repair and un-blocking.
Please also note that hanging washing or any
other articles from the windows, the balcony
or on the patio is not allowed.
Please note that all refuse must be placed in
the bin liners provided, tied and placed in
one of the wheelie bins in the bin store. Please
do not leave the bin liners anywhere else otherwise
they are attacked by seagulls, cats etc.
Please ensure that the external front door is
not left on the catch except whilst loading
/unloading.
Please do not leave/store anything in the communal
areas and please carry any muddy/sandy footwear
to the apartment.
Left
something behind…..?
Anything left behind can be forwarded upon receipt
of a min. handling fee of £10 plus the
postage. Anything unclaimed will be disposed
of after 28 days.
Liability
We
shall not be responsible for any accident or
loss or damage which may be sustained by the
tenant or any member of the party, or visitor,
or to their property, however caused. Please
do note that the gardens at ocean's edge and
water's edge are purely ornamental and not suitable
as a playground. This is out of consideration
to the other residents and guests of the apartment
blocks.
Accessibility
statement
Ocean's
edge , Mevagissey. The car park is level. There
is a small step up into the apartment block.The
apartment is accessed by two short flights of
stairs down, each with 8 stairs and a handrail
on both sides. The apartment is all on one level
and is on the first floor from the front of
the apartment block. Access to the balcony is
through the double patio doors with one step
down.
Water's
edge , Falmouth.The car park is level.The apartment
is accessed by two short flights of stairs down,
the first with 11 stairs to a small landing
and the second with 4.There is a handrail. There
is also a lift measuring 80cm wide and 130cm
deep.The apartment is all on one level and is
on the ground floor from the front of the apartment
block. Access to the patio is through the double
patio doors with one step down. |
